★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O Janu Nepomuckém, vlastním jménem Johánek z Pomuku bylo napsáno mnohé. A přece je to do jisté míry postava tajemná, mysteriózní a neprobádaná. Ani se moc neuvádí, že to byl doktor obojího práva a generální vikář pražského arcibiskupa Jana z Jenštejna (což je mimochodem osoba přinejmenším rovněž velmi zajímavá a dnes trochu ve stínu).
Jak už to bývá Jenštejn, osoba vysoce postavená, měl spory s tehdejším panovníkem Václavem IV.
A jak už to bývá, odnesl to Nepomucký.
Po jeho smrti byly ostatky přeneseny katedrály svatého Víta.
Možná historickým paradoxem je, že po smrti krále Václava IV. se oba aktéři setkali v katedrále svatého Víta.
Much has been written about John of Nepomuk, his real name Johan of Pomuk. And yet, to a certain extent, it is a mysterious, mysterious and unexplored figure. Nor does it say much that he was the doctor of both law and the vicar general of the Prague Archbishop Jan of Jenštejn (which, by the way, is a person of at least also very interesting and a bit shaded today).

After his death, the remains were transferred to St. Vitus Cathedral.
