★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Autorem sochy Tvář Měsíce, umístěné u základní školy ve Stupkově ulici, je olomoucký rodák Jaromír Šolc. Znázorňuje otisk boty Neila Armstronga na povrchu Měsíce. Socha byla odhalena v roce 1971. Šolc, jemuž bylo při odhalení sochy šedesát let, kamenný blok k Měsíci připodobnil také jeho zvrásněným povrchem a na jedné straně i zaoblením.
Další jeho díla jsou reliéfy, které od roku 1960 visí v hale hlavního nádraží. Jeden z nich symbolizuje zemědělství a přírodu, druhý pak technický pokrok, jenž vrcholí znázorněním sovětské družice Sputnik.
 The author of the sculpture The Face of the Moon, located at the elementary school in Stupkova Street, is Olomouc native Jaromir Solc. It depicts the print of Neil Armstrong's shoe on the moon's surface. The sculpture was unveiled in 1971. Sholc, who was sixty years old when unveiling the statue, also likened the stone block to the moon with its wrinkled surface and, on the one hand, the curvature.
His other works are reliefs that have been hanging in the main station hall since 1960. One of them symbolizes agriculture and nature, the other symbolizes technical progress, culminating in the depiction of the Soviet Sputnik satellite.
