Interesting and atmospheric experience with an excellent guide passionate about their subject. Almost an Harry Potter vibe about this place that fans would love. The surprise before you go underground is worth the wait. Perfect for a cold Winters day and afterwards head for a delicious hot chocolate in a nearby cafe.

Amazing experience!! The tour is 35-40 minutes long (available in english and czech) and the place itself is spectacular, one of the oldest houses in Prague! A must visit if you're a fan of history and alchemy, and the tour guide is insightful and very helpful!

Seeing the underground area is really cool! But our tour guide's accent was so rough that we had trouble understanding and that really affected our enjoyment of the tour. I do recommend checking this out though.

One of the most interesting sights in Prague! The guides are very experienced and you can find out a lot of interesting facts and information if you ask them. Definitely recommend! I am amazed that this place is not getting more attention than it already gets. From what we were told there are still more rooms under the one we were able to visit that are still flooded. I cannot understand why the state does not invest more in preserving those places and exhibiting the artefacts in a museum. For example the door under which explorers found the vault which contained the still enclosed elixir is kept in a storage room, not a museum. Also it’s very hard to get more information about the place online (further reading) i think this place has a lot more to offer if invested more in it.

Interesting place and historically good to know about it, apparently the building has survived a lot of things, and is one of the oldest ones in Prague. So many underground tunnels! Be aware of the smell ?there are many elixirs/potions available to purchase on spot. ?

A wonderfully bizarre little attraction near Prague’s Old Town Square This shop was said to be the residence of alchemists during the reign of Rudolf II. At this time the Emperor was interested in the magic arts, and all the astrologers, scientists, alchemists, and charlatans descended on Prague. Apparently some of them worked here and in 2002, a major flood in Prague revealed underground cellars and passages where the alchemists once worked. It has been restored and is a wonderfully macabre and fascinating place. Some of the restoration is possibly a little overdone, but it is still quite amazing to go into the tunnels. Note that only guided tours are possible here, due to the nature of the site.

Very cool! You go underground into a small section of the tunnels below prague and while the full tunnel length isn't accessible (collapsed or flooded over time) the sections you do see are very interesting. Learning more about the history of alchemy was also fascinating.

The place is very interesting and the tour last about 45 minutes. It is not very large but worth seeing. The guide was very enthusiastic and very opened to questions as well as taking pictures. I won't spoil it by adding to many photos since you should visit it in person.
