★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stávající tělocvična zbudovaná v roce 1927 už nestačila potřebám rozvíjející se sportovní činnosti v Hluku už v poválečném období. V tuto dobu byl o sport veliký zájem. Zrušením spolků Sokol a Orel, se zvětšila potřeba společnosti mít nějaký větší prostor ve sjednocené tělovýchově. První požadavek na výstavbu nové tělocvičny byl vznesen už v roce 1948. Dalším krokem k výstavbě tělocvičny bylo písemné ujednání mezi TJ Spartak a Místním národním výborem (MNV) ze dne 29. 7. 1958. Tehdy se zavázali Okresní národní výbor, Krajský výbor tělovýchovy, Okresní výbor tělovýchovy a národní podnik Autopal vytvořit předpoklady pro stavbu nové tělocvičny tak, aby stavba byla zahájena v roce 1959. Toto ujednání však bylo pouze na papíře. Jediný, kdo o stavbu usiloval, byla TJ Spartak. Bylo vyvoláno několik jednání s místními složkami a u předsedy ONV, kde Spartak předložil dokumentaci I. stupně. To vše ztroskotalo na uvolnění finančních prostředků.
The existing gymnasium, built in 1927, was no longer sufficient for the needs of the developing sports activities in Hluk in the post-war period. There was a lot of interest in sports at this time. With the abolition of the Sokol and Orel associations, the need for society to have some more space in unified physical education increased. The first request for the construction of a new gym was made in 1948. The next step in the construction of the gym was a written agreement between TJ Spartak and the Local National Committee (MNV) of July 29, 1958. At that time, the District National Committee, the Regional Committee for Physical Education, The District Committee for Physical Education and the national company Autopal created the preconditions for the construction of a new gym so that construction began in 1959. However, this arrangement was only on paper. The only one who sought construction was TJ Spartak. Several meetings were held with local forces and with the chairman of the ONV, where Spartak submitted first-level documentation. All this failed to free up funds.
