Na tomto místě stála bratrská modlitebna, od roku 1615 zde sídlili jezuité a ti ji přeměnili na katolický kostel zasvěcený svaté Anně.
Tehdy se také stal Jan Sarkander místním farářem.
Po odchodu jezuitů se František Antonín hrabě z Rottalu rozhodl kostel obnovit pro řád trinitářů.
V rámci reforem císaře Josefa II. byl klášter v roce 1783 zrušen a poté opět chátral. Teprve roku 1880 dal Rudolf hrabě z Vrbna kostel vyvlastnit, a tak se stala tato barokní budova opět filiálním kostelem římskokatolické farnosti.
Toto je jen nepatrný zlomek z dějin. Dobře ti radím, přijď a na místě tyto dějiny nechej na sebe dýchnout.
Holešov is a small town, but neat and rich in historical events.
In this place stood a fraternal house of prayer, since 1615 the Jesuits resided here and they transformed it into a Catholic church dedicated to St. Anne.
At that time, Jan Sarkander also became a local pastor.
After the departure of the Jesuits, František Antonín the Earl of Rottal decided to renew the church for the Trinitarian order.
As part of the reforms of Emperor Joseph II. the monastery was abolished in 1783 and then decayed again. It was not until 1880 that Rudolf the Earl of Vrbno had expropriated the church, and so this Baroque building became again a branch church of the Roman Catholic parish.
This is only a tiny fraction of history. Well, I advise you to come and let this history breathe on you.
