★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V historické části Rychnova je Staré náměstí, lemované měšťanskými domy. K vidění je jednoduchá kašna z roku 1841, socha svatého Floriána, socha svatého Jana Nepomuckého a krucifix s Bolestnou Pannou Marií. Náměstí je vydlážděno, je zde několik stromů. Zeleně je celkově málo, to se snad zlepší po plánované rekonstrukci celého náměstí.
 In the historical part of Rychnov is the Old Square, lined with town houses. There is a simple fountain from 1841, a statue of St. Florian, a statue of St. John of Nepomuk and a crucifix with the Sorrowful Virgin Mary. The square is paved, there are several trees. There is generally little greenery, which will hopefully improve after the planned reconstruction of the whole square.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From Hradec Kralove to Poland there are two main roads. One drives North, through an important thermal area and till Wroclaw. The second goes East, passing Rykhnov nad Kneznou. It is a historical very small town on a hilly territory, really a few steps from Polish border. The main square is the old market place, nice as well as thousands of them all over Europe,from Sicily till Norway. A couple of ancient churches deserve a visit.
