★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Státní Okresní Archiv Chomutov najdete v krásné budově, kde mezi lety 1803 - 1823 sídlila piaristická kolej a nejstarší kadaňské gymnázium. Piaristé sem přišli z Doupova a z Ostrova u Karlových Varů. Gymnaziální kaple byla vysvěcena 7. října 1805. Piaristická kolej a její gymnázium mělo ve své době výbornou pověst a mezi jeho studenty bylo i několik později významných osobností světského i církevního života. Kolej zanikla už v roce 1823 a gymnázium zároveň s ní.
State District Archive Chomutov can be found in a beautiful building, which between 1803 - 1823 housed the Piarist College and the oldest grammar school in Kadaň. The Piarists came here from Doupov and from Ostrov near Karlovy Vary. The chapel was consecrated on October 7, 1805. The Piarist College and its grammar school had an excellent reputation at the time, and among its students there were several important personalities of secular and ecclesial life. The dormitory ceased to exist in 1823 and the grammar school was abolished at the same time.
