V	Viky Špaček on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vysoko na vrcholu boční skalní stěny nad severozápadním břehem jezera stojí dodnes Stifterův památník. Adalbert Stifter byl označován jako „básník Šumavy“ a po jeho smrti 28. ledna 1868 se začalo hojně diskutovat o vybudování jeho památníku. Po zdlouhavých peripetiích byl v roce 1877 slavnostně odhalen v místech, kde ho můžeme až dodnes nalézt. Pomník byl navíc věnován „veškerému obyvatelstvu Šumavy“. K pomníku se váže i příběh pěti kameníků, kteří na něm pracovali. Každoročně se tu scházeli, a když některý z nich zemřel, iniciály jeho jména byly Franzem Saumerem začerněny. Posledním přeživším byl právě Saumer, jehož iniciály jsou z pochopitelných důvodů dodnes nezačerněny. Úžasné panoráma na okolí a jezero, z vyhlídky je vidět i jezero Lipno The Stifter Memorial still stands high at the top of the side rock wall above the northwest shore of the lake. Adalbert Stifter was referred to as the "poet of Šumava" and after his death on January 28, 1868, there was a lot of discussion about building his memorial. After lengthy vicissitudes, it was ceremoniously unveiled in 1877 in places where we can still find it today. In addition, the monument was dedicated to "the entire population of Šumava". The story is linked to the story of five stonemasons who worked on it. They met here every year, and when one of them died, the initials of his name were blackened by Franz Saumer.
