Strážná hora (689 m above sea level) is a hill northeast of Police nad Metují and west of Broumov. From both cities there is a good bus connection to the station Pěkov - Hony (at the bus stops it is possible to have a snack in the restaurant U Generála Laudona). From here follow the yellow TZT to the Crossroads Pod Strážnou horou in the forest below the ridge of the Broumov walls. After about 2 kilometers, under the rock formation Kačenka yellow connects to the blue mark from Honský Špičák to Hvězda. These are beautiful places, the terrain is difficult only in places (in winter, however, it requires training and sturdy shoes), along the way you can enjoy a few amazing views of the Broumov basin (only sometimes you have to climb the rocks to the edge of the walls, the view is blocked by mature trees). The Watchtower (689 m above sea level) is a hill northeast of Police nad Metují and west of Broumov. From there follow the yellow marked tourist path to the crossroads "Pod Strážnou horou" in the forest below the ridge of the Broumov Walls. After approx. 2 kilometers, under the rock formation "Kačenka", the yellow sign connects to the blue sign from Honský Špičák to Hvězda. These are beautiful places, the terrain is difficult only in some places (in winter it´s different - it wants training and solid shoes), on the way you can enjoy a few amazing views of the Broumov basin (sometimes you have to rock up to the edge of the walls, since the view is blocked by mature trees).

A fabulous place in the magical mountains. A beautiful vantage point around the area, with a bit of luck you can see very distant ranges and peaks. An ideal starting point for family trips, running training, etc. Good access road, parking - what more could you want
