Jewish settlement in the village has been documented since the beginning of the 18th century. At the end of the following century, Stádlec had 111 houses with 700 inhabitants. Of these, 63 were Jewish - they were concentrated in a small residential district, around the street where the synagogue stands. It was probably built in the first half of the 19th century, when the local Jewish community was the largest. Services were held here until the 1930s, when only six inhabitants of the Jewish faith lived in Stádlec. The building was used as a local cinema and cultural house in the 1970s. Today it is one of the protected cultural monuments of the Czech Republic, yet unfortunately it is not in the best condition and is falling into disrepair.
