★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Místo, kde stávala synagoga postavená roku 1886 připomíná pouze památník uprostřed malého parčíku. Židovská obec v Kostelci vznikla v roce 1505 a kromě synagogy měla školu i nedaleký hřbitov, který patří k nejstarším v ČR. Synagoga byla postavena na místě stodoly a stála do roku 1948.
The place where the synagogue built in 1886 used to stand is only reminiscent of a monument in the middle of a small park. The Jewish community in Kostelec was founded in 1505 and in addition to the synagogue, it also had a school and a nearby cemetery, which is one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. The synagogue was built on the site of a barn and stood until 1948.
