★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very touching, a former school converted to a museum. There are many touching stories of artists lived and expressed their pain by drawing, writing, acting in theater.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing. Very moving. Didn't realise how large the community was that was imprisoned here during WW2. But Terezin has a lot more history behind it as well. A must do!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The museum about the hardships, horrors, deportation and death endured by thousands of people, mainly Jewish, during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. Terezin was a major transport hub for sending Jews to the extermination camps like Auschwitz. As well as a short film there is a lot of visual displays - perhaps a depressing overload, leaving one feeling drained at the end of the visit. A combo-ticket also allows access to other places of interest in town, like the Small Fortress, Columbarium etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing.
It humbled and broke my heart to visit here. A place where prisoners were housed prior to being transferred to concentration camps across Europe
You can see the cramped spaces on site and the bathrooms that never worked. You can see the basins and dorms which were not designed for the number of people cramped into such small places.
You can feel the despair of the inmates who’s destined was assured the minute they stepped through those doors.
Beside the camp are the burial grounds where the names of the victims are etched in stone and Jewish graves with stones which are left there instead of flowers as per Jewish tradition
Graves of Christians lay side by side.
It is worth taking a tour out to this place as they bring you to the museum where you can see passports and drawings and suitcases from inmates who never made it back
A part of history we cannot ignite or forget.
All photo are from my trip there with my husband.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's odd giving a 5 star review to this place. The events that unfolded here are a tragic part of history. For this reason, we cannot ignore what happened. The tour group was very respectful and everyone found it an intensely moving experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fascinating museum, one part of the entire Ghetto Museum site. Buy tickets here to the entire site and there's a professionally presented museum to introduce visitors to the history of the site. Everything is available in English and there are maps available of the entire site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The whole town is involved in tourism related to the ghetto. There is no real guidance, you are given a map and you have to manage on your own. The arrival was also really complicated, 2 trains and a lot of walking. It is recommended to come with an guide and/or a vehicle
