Nice building, nice people, but calling the mailroom is a superhuman task.

The historic building of the former town hall (built in 1532) with barrier-free access from Masaryk Square is now home to the District Court in Děčín. Since 1958 the building has been protected as a cultural monument. The architect Johann Gottfried Gutensohn was commissioned to build it, apparently thanks to Franz Thun. According to his project, the older, northern part of the district court was built. The house was built in 1871 in a similar style to the southern part where the school worked. It´s author was Gutensohn's successor Bernhard Gruber. This is the most impressive building in the whole square, in the front of the balcony you can find a symbol of the city - a Czech twin-tailed lion with a crown in a red field that holds a silver parma in his paws.
