★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Budova Okresního soudu je hned vedle vlakového nádraží za kamenným mostem. Jedná se o klasicistní budovu ze 70.let 19.století, která původně sloužila jako hotel Union, místo českého společenského života. Budova má bezbarierový přístup.
The District Court building is next to the train station behind the stone bridge. It is a Classicist building from the 1870s, which originally served as the Union Hotel, instead of Czech social life. The building has wheelchair access.

Název Union měl vyjadřovat touhu po jednotě obou trutnovských národností - majoritních Němců a minoritních Čechů. Jeho prvním vlastníkem byl zemský poslanec a někdejší starosta Trutnova MUDr. Antonín Porák, který zdejší českou menšinu podporoval. V letech 1876–1900 hotel centrem spolkového života české menšiny v Trutnově. Hrálo se tu české divadlo, pořádaly koncerty a konaly schůze.
The two-storey building of the former Union Hotel No. 106 in Nádražní Street, which now houses the District Court, was built in 1874. The name Union was to express the desire for unity of both Trutnov nationalities - majority Germans and minority Czechs. Its first owner was a deputy and former mayor of Trutnov Dr. Antonín Porák, who supported the local Czech minority. In 1876–1900 the hotel was the center of the federal life of the Czech minority in Trutnov. Czech theater, concerts and meetings took place here.
