The area around Neprobylice was inhabited already during the Bronze Age, suggesting by the archaeological finds of Unětice´ culture - bowls, necklaces, earrings and others. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1316. At that time the village was divided into two parts, the upper and the lower ones with it´s own fortresses. While the lower one ceased after the unification of the village, the upper fortress became the seat of a Neprobylice ruler. In 1527 it was bought by knight Václav Pětipeský from Chyše and Egerberk and rebuilt in the Renaissance style in 1587-8. This event is resembled on the still preserved coats of arms and inscription on the frontal wall of the fortress. After the Battle of the White Mountain, the estate belonged to the smithy Jaroslav Bořita of Martinice and served for economic purposes. The building is now privately owned.
