The theater is beautiful, spacious. They have a very diverse program from cinema to classical music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Divadelní budova Spolku divadelních ochotníků „Tyl“ byla postavena podle návrhu pražských architektů ing. Antonína Mendla a ing. Václava Šantrůčka, kteří zvítězili v roce 1921 ve vyhlášeném konkurzu. Stavbu realizoval stavitel Vilém Bandouch z Poličky. Zahájena byla 2. dubna 1924 a hrubá stavba byla dokončena 10. srpna 1924. Celkové dokončení stavby však vázlo, a tak ke slavnostnímu otevření budovy došlo až 18. srpna 1929. Po 2. světové válce divadlo chátralo a ke zlepšení došlo až v roce 1962, kdy přešlo pod správu Adamovských strojíren jako Jednotný klub pracujících. V roce 1978 prošlo důkladnou rekonstrukcí.
Theatrical Association of Theatrical Actors' Theater building was built according to the design of Prague architects Antonín Mendl and Václav Šantrůček who won the renowned audition in 1921. The construction was carried out by builder Vilém Bandouch from Polička. It was launched on April 2, 1924, and the rough construction was completed on August 10, 1924. However, the completion of the construction was lagging behind, and the ceremonial opening of the building took place on August 18, 1929. when passed under the administration of the Adamov machine works as a single club workers. In 1978, it underwent a thorough reconstruction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Divadlo v celku dobré ale na koukání filmu jakoby v kině je hrozné pokud si někdo sedne před vás tak nic nevidíte protože sedačky nejsou vyvýšené a po delší době sezení je to na sedačkách které tam jsou bolestivé a nepohodlné myslím že by se mělo někde v Poličce postavit kino zvlášť ale pořádné.
The theater is generally good, but watching the film as if in a cinema is terrible if someone sits in front of you so you don't see anything because the seats are not elevated and after a long time it's sitting on seats that are painful and uncomfortable, I think it should stand somewhere in Polička cinema especially but proper.

In addition to its picturesque center and preserved castle, Polička can be proud of such a small town as well as several important Cubist and Rondo-Cubist buildings. The largest and most distinctive of which is the so-called Tyl House, which houses the Polička Theater and Cultural Center.
