★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vysoký, dřevěný kříž bez Spasitele, bez podstavce o samotě při cestě v lese stojící a kolem něho malá zahrádka, je znám z povídek spisovatele F. X. Svobody. Do krásné lesníkovy dcery se zamiloval myslivecký mládenec a když poznal, že jeho láska není opětována, rozhodl se zmocniti se dívky násilím. Jednoho dne k večeru na místě, kde kříž stojí, ji přepadl a zneuctil. Mladá dívka se z toho pomátla na rozumu a brzy zemřela. Mládenec po činu uprchl daleko do světa. Jako stařec, hnán zlým svědomím, vrátil se na místo svého zločinu a zde se oběsil.
Kříž byl obnoven v roce 2012.

Driven like an old man by an evil conscience, he returned to the scene of his crime and hanged himself there.
The cross was restored in 2012.
