Really good value.
Try the czech white wine.
Ribs far too much to eat.
If two or more order ribs get a side of fries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time trying Czech food and I fell in love. Not much a meat eater and yet this was amazing. Little joint NOT where all the tourists go in front of the plaza. Instead look for it in one of the alleys by the chocolate store. Also, affordable and the best service I’ve received in a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First, THANK YOU, Honest Guide. Amazing food and service for a great price. The Czech goulash was awesome. So tasty. Atmosphere is great. NOTE: highly recommend making reservations. We were there during ‘off hours’ and they were turning people away because it was full.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So this nice hidden place is highly recommended by locals. But my experience was a bit funny, I walked in, ordered a main course and half liter beer, one minute later the main course arrived and the beer followed few minutes after ?
I have never in my life seen a main course being prepared in a minute, which only made me wonder, for how long that dish had been out there. Eventually I ended up with half liter of beer to drink while and after eating, which wasn’t very enjoyable experience.

The girl even remembered me from months ago.
Food is just delicious and they are even better. This is a must visit if you are in the city

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ U Červeného páva is a small hidden gem of a restaurant located in a street near the city center. The food is typical and tasty Czech fare, with very, very huge portions for great prices. The seating is limited, so it's best to book in advance. I was surprised by the extra kind and attentive service - everyone was so nice and accomodating!
The prices are the best in Prague for what you get, with fresh ingredients and a great Czech selection.
The beer is amazing - you can choose dark or light - and the Czech liquors selection is also great. Highly recommended! I came here 3 times both for lunch and dinner in just a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best traditional Czech restaurants, with friendly staff, delicious food and fast service. During the weekends it might be very crowded and either you wait in line for a table or make a reservation. It's not far away from the old city center, located on some narrow streets. The advantage is that you eat delicious food at very good prices, so definitely not a tourist trap. :)
