A real surprise in the bowels of the Velhartice castle. Wonderful environment, friendly service and most importantly, excellent food and drink. We had excellent broth and then Burger and Sirloin. Both excellent. Also a big plus for tapping Bernard and his book for free reading. I recommend to all open and nice people who like the level. Here we found it to the last bite and arch.

Despite booking a table right at the door (with a romantic view of the toilet) Like vege food goat cheese. Solved by an alternative to french fries, for which there was ketchup for 30 CZK. The dishes from the dishwasher dried a little badly, so it seemed to be dull. Although we returned the plates empty, but only because of great hunger. Despite good other reviews, a big disappointment. From the restaurants we tried in Šumava, probably the worst experience. Addition - when booking I emphasized that there will be at least seven of us. We would really appreciate a bigger table, but there was a family of four who, unlike us, knew the staff. The view was really through the glass door to the toilet door. But if you think it's a good place, okay. I understand your answer that you are not presenting yourself as a vege restaurant, but I am obviously spoiled by the usual menu of restaurants, where one little common savory food (sweet dumplings are dessert) is offered. But I admit, this remark was hungry. Ketchup was really charged for thirty CZK. The husband who paid the bill is not completely greedy, but the amount also stopped him. The fact that I didn't complain on the spot was because I didn't want to ruin the family trip. We try to spend nice moments together before I go for another treatment again. And I didn't want one of the last trips together to be with the taste of this, blaming the staff for their cutlery and the wrong table. It was partly my fault. When booking, I should have asked for an offer. I naively expected a thematic offer in the area of ​​the castle called U hradního sladka. No attempt at Pohlreich style cuisine. My fault.

Attention - accessible only with a ticket to the castle. The food wasn't bad, it just didn't quite coincide with my imagination and didn't captivate me.

I am very sorry that I have to write this review today, but a visit to this company was one big disappointment. In fact, I can only positively evaluate the beautiful interior of the restaurant. Service zero, three girls who lacked even the smallest organization. Even after twenty minutes, we did not see the staff who would bring us at least something to drink. After asking the staff at the bar if we can order here or someone comes to our table, we were assured that they would serve us. Unfortunately, this did not happen even then, even though the staff passed our table several times. So after about thirty minutes we got together and left. I would just like to point out that we were not the only ones who gave up waiting during that time. Sadly, one has to wait to sit in a restaurant, which I can understand - a weekend, a beautiful sunny day, lunch time. And when he finally "catches" his place in the restaurant, he leaves angry for ignoring the staff. Two stars - for a nice environment. Heidlerová Petra
