★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite crowded place. Access is done with public transportation tickets (day cards also valid). Also one can buy tickets inside, but only with CHK coins :(.
Usually there is a queue, but it takes like 10 Min for a cable car to get going. Service is more like "let's let the time pass" oriented and bot tourist oriented. Upon entering cart we waited another 2-3 Minutes before departure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not averse to walking up the hill but we like a funicular. There was a long queue (out the door, up the steps, past the map sign) but we got on within 30 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Use your public transportation card to pay the ride to Petrin. Cheap and fun. I got off at the middle of the hill and walked half way to the top. The view from the cabin of the car and the trail up the hill was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cost is part of standard public transport ticket (pid) so helps if you have a pass. Had a mid stop if you want to walk some of the way up the hill which is a nice option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrendous service from the employees of the station. They bark at you to pay your ticket and point prehistorical machines to do so. Unfortunately, the machines do not accept payment by card (even though they should) so be sure to take enough coins with you. Again, employees just stared and did nothing to help when we told them the machines refused our card. 0/10 would not recommend those employees for 'employee of the month'.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rate it high for possibility to get to the top of the hill without an effort/no climbing. For sure would not do it for better city view, as there are much more nice city view points at the same hill or close by. You can use your ticket for public transport if it’s still valid. Nice journey up the Petrin hill!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view from the funicular is great. The path is very steep and hence is excellent for a great view. However, there are downsides and the most important one being pets are allowed in the funicular. There are too many people and then if we have big dog it is not funny. There was no obstacle on the mouth as well. I had a terrible experience due to dogs. Had to change the car in the only in between stop.
