Waste of time and money, constant lack for credible professors and adequate educational system. The whole education in this uni is a joke. It is a private business entity with only one goal to extort as much money as possible.

I transferred to UNYP from a Czech public university and it was the best decision I could make. The American style of education is engaging. Classes are small so your opinion will be heard.

The initial reasons why I chose to study my bachelors at UNYP were because: I could stay in Prague, have an education in the English language, small classrooms as I am personally not fond of large classrooms where no one knows each other and most importantly achieve a double degree, not only by diploma (one accepted by the EU and the US) but as well major wise. I decided to study as my main major Communication & Mass Media as well as taking Psychology on the side. During the 4 years, I have met many people with various backgrounds which is something I always enjoyed being part of. So, I was happy to have it during my University studies as well. I have also acquired new knowledge and had many interactive and interesting conversations about various related in-class topics with my fellow peers and the professors - which is a benefit as it made me more open-minded. While doing my bachelors I was happy that UNYP was very flexible when it came to the schedule. Due to being able to pick what classes I wanted to take on what day I was able to balance my life a bit more. I had some time for a social life, to study and to also have part-time jobs, therefore, I was able to gain not only knowledge at school but immediately insert it into my working life and gain some experience in the field I was studying. During the 4 years I tried to partake in as many activities as possible. I did this to meet people I did not study the same major with and to also have a more University experience. I joined the Model United Nations Club which I ended running after. I as well joined the student council where I met a great bunch of people that I am still very close to till this day. After graduating I took a year break and left for a great internship opportunity to Unilever in Rotterdam. After my return, I continued working at Unilever but in Prague and at the same time I decided to get my master’s degree related to furthering my knowledge in communication. It was a no brainer… I went back to UNYP and took on their program – Strategic Communication which was a collaboration with a US school – La Salle. The entire program took 15 months and they were weekend classes which was perfect as I could work during the week without having to try to rush back and forth. It felt comfortable returning and it was also extremely nice to share the class with some ex-bachelor classmates. Felt like a mini reunion ? I graduated summer of 2019 and I can say that I honestly have only fond memories, it was intense but in the end for me, it was worth it. After quite a few years, UNYP became a family for me, and till this day I stay in touch, attend various events and am always welcomed when I enter the building. Who knows, maybe one day when I will be ready, I will go back for my PHD ? that day may be happening sooner than I thought... Here are few tips from me: - Make sure to take advantage of what UNYP offers, get to know not only your peers but as well the staff. - I understand that during COVID a lot has changed and new challenges for adaptation have risen, but what I have seen and heard from some students at UNYP is that the school tried really hard to make sure the lessons can go forward as smoothly as possible, i'm sure hiccups occurred but let's be honest, this global situation - no one was expecting and every school and business out there is doing their best to adapt and still bring forward everything they can. - And remember, UNYP is great at expanding your thinking and knowledge, but what you do with the information is only up to you.

Been there from 2016 to 2019, MBA+MSci program, experienced professors and coaches for business education. As a university, academic research is not strong yet, but it is rational to be different from the public institutions of higher education.

My experience was relatively good, however, you need to know two things: First: they will not help you with the visa, they may say they will, but that's just standard politeness, you'll be thrown under the bus of the Czech embassy which is notorious for being difficult to reach and deal with. Second: Professors and most of the staff are quite helpful and kind, however, you might want to stay away from the Dean of the economic faculty, my short and awful experience speaking with him was quite agonizing. The dean comes off as self-absorbed, uncaring, narcissistic, and probably one of the worst humans that I ever corresponded with (and I corresponded with a lot, mind you), not only that but expect dear reader that he will belittle you and question your cognitive ability (basically insulting you) just because you dared to ask his grace about something. You are not his student rather an inconvenient nuisance, an insect to be squashed if it gets out of the line, a necessary evil for him to make a living, Very very awful person.

Teachers are professionals in their fields with tons of knowledge and experience. They enjoy their job and care about their students and try to help them out. The facilities are beautiful, the students are amazing, the lectures are extremely interesting and the load of work is manageable. Studying here is a privilidge.
