Krásně opravená radnice před níž stojí socha Arnošta z Pardubic dělá městu čest. Celé centrum je čisté, krásné záhony, opravené budovy.
Beautifully repaired town hall in front of which stands a statue of Arnošt of Pardubice makes the city honor. The whole center is clean, beautiful flower beds, renovated buildings.

The ground plan of Arnošt z Pardubic Square has a slightly elongated shape, slightly widening at the north-eastern end. From the western and south-eastern end, the important long-distance road from Prague to Kolín, Jihlava and further on to Vienna led. In April 1838 a big fire destroyed a part of Úvaly, in which the north-western part of the square burnt down, which affected its later development. The municipal office is located in the building of the original Úvaly town hall No. 95 on the south side of the square, which has been gradually reconstructed for the needs of the town since 2007. Next door is the house of the writer Marie Majerová, no. 18, now a declared immovable cultural monument. In the neighbourhood you will find the building of the rectory No. 45 from the turn of the 1950s and 1960s with a memorial plaque of the dean, writer and local history researcher Alois Dostál, who worked here from 1906 until his death in 1934. The bust was created by the academic sculptor Josef Čermák.
