The Velký Osek railway station is located on the Prague - Lysá nad Labem - Kolín line and is a branch station for the Velký Osek - Hradec Králové - Choceň line. It was built as part of the Austrian Northwestern Railway connecting Vienna and Berlin, the author of the common design of the stations for the entire railway was the architect Carl Schlimp. The construction was carried out in the years 1869-1870 by the company of the Teibach brothers from Kutná Hora. Electrification was introduced here in 1958, a year later an automatic security device of Czechoslovak production was installed here. The Velký Osek railway station is located on the line Prague - Lysá nad Labem - Kolín and is a turning station for the Velký Osek - Hradec Králové - Choceň railway line.
