Jedná se o věžový vodojem, který zásobuje vodou i nejvyšší patra paneláků, musí je tedy převyšovat, aby dosáhl potřebného hydrostatického tlaku v potrubí. Věžový vodojem v Brně-Kohoutovicích navrhl v roce 1969 olomoucký architekt Tomáš Černoušek. Dílo, v jehož takřka sochařsky pojednaných hmotách se mísí inspirace českým kubismem s ozvuky skulpturálních tendencí v tehdejší architektuře. Vodojem je dimenzován pro 700 m3 vody. Výška sloupce vody je 9 m. Se svými třiceti metry výšky se stal v roce 1973 jednou z výrazných dominant horizontu města Brna. Architektonicky ztvárněná figura otevřeného kalichu vytváří výrazný prvek v zalesněné krajině. It is a tower reservoir that supplies water to the highest floors of blocks of flats, so it must exceed them in order to reach the required hydrostatic pressure in the pipeline. The tower reservoir in Brno-Kohoutovice was designed in 1969 by the Olomouc architect Tomáš Černoušek. A work in which almost sculpturally treated materials mix inspiration from Czech cubism with sounds of sculptural tendencies in the architecture of the time. The reservoir is designed for 700 m3 of water. The height of the water column is 9 m. With its thirty meters high, it became one of the significant landmarks of the city of Brno in 1973. The architecturally rendered figure of the open chalice creates a distinctive element in the wooded landscape.
