An oasis of calm in the middle of the city.

Very nice museum in the center of Ceska Lipa.

Necekany zazitek. The guide was funny and gave us a lot of information, not just from history.

Amazing wandering around ancient Česká Lípa thanks to a wonderful guide. It's not a big museum, but we're leaving with maximum. In the museum you will learn about the development of Ceska Lipa, what was important in the past, where you could find products from CL, what was the layout of the town, and much more. I recognize that this is more interesting for people who know ART. The guide will also advise you where you can look around.

You know the feeling when you're looking forward to something the most and it doesn't work out. I was looking forward to Česká Lípa for two months to a lot of beautiful sights, but the icing on the cake for me was definitely the archaeoraj in Šatlava. Unfortunately, the museum is closed until further notice, and that's a shame! I keep my fingers crossed that the situation will stabilize as soon as possible and that means will be found to resume operations! I enjoyed this amazing building at least from the outside. Its origins can be traced back to the middle of the 16th century, but the floor increase came only from the Baroque. I give 5 stars despite the unhappy current state as a sign of optimism for the future. You know the feeling when you're looking forward to something and it does not work out. I was planning a trip to Česká Lípa for almost two months, but the cherry on the cake was definitely an archeology section in awesome former prison building which is a part of Česká Lípa national history and geography museum. Unfortunately, the museum is closed until the appeal and that's such a shame! I'm holding my thumbs to stabilize the situation as soon as possible and find the necessary finance for continuing! I enjoyed this wonderful building at least from the outside. It´s beginnings can be traced back to the middle of the 16th century, but the floor elevation came with the Baroque.
