★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hřbitov vznikl přenesením ostatků rakouských a pruských vojáků od přehrady Rozkoš. Po prohrané bitvě rakouských jednotek 28. 6. 1866 se Rakušané dostali do České Skalice, kde znovu prohráli. 3. 7. 1866 byla svedena bitva u Hradce Králové, též bitva na Chlumu, či bitva u Sadové. Prusové porazili rakousko-saskou armádu. Počtem nasazených vojáků je hradecká bitva největší bitvou svedenou na území dnešní České republiky.
 The cemetery was created by transferring the remains of Austrian and Prussian soldiers from the Rozkoš dam. After the lost battle of Austrian troops on June 28, 1866, the Austrians got to Česká Skalice, where they lost again. On July 3, 1866, the Battle of Hradec Králové was fought, as well as the Battle of Chlum or the Battle of Sadová. The Prussians defeated the Austro-Saxon army. With the number of troops deployed, the Battle of Hradec Králové is the largest battle fought in the territory of today's Czech Republic.
