★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like this place and its legacy. It shows a peaceful consistency and connection with nature there was back in the days. But there was a lot of hard work on fields too, taking care of cattle etc.
This visit can make you think about our lifestyle a lot. I recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice walk and our party of 11 adults/kids mix liked it although boys got bored quickly. Spent 5 hours there taking advantage of promotional tickets for all 3 rounds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible preservation of history! Attended the festival "Slavnosti" in July and it is a must see spectacle. Dancers and singers from all over the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
If you want to watch the dancers and singers be prepared for a lot of standing and no stage to see the performers. They are on a dance floor ground level.
You can walk around the lifesize museum and eat authentic foods and see a dance competition between young men - highly entertaining with all of their jumps and leaps.
Craftsmen carving bowls and stamping fabrics and making hand strung sausages.
Wonderful wonderful festival.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Other reviews sum it up well, lovely half day family visit. If you aren't Czech this is an especially lovely market with beautiful buildings, if you are Czech then head for the brinza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great folk museum with wooden buildings from 18. and 19. century shows how people used to live and work. It consists of three exhibitions - a village with buildings and church close together. A mill part with buildings of crafts that used to need a water drive. A hill part with wooden buildings and fields scattered all around a hill.
