★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dog friendly hotel, který vlastně friendly není... priplatite za psa a pak s ním nemůžete ani ke stolu do restaurace...nutno podotknout , že naše fenka byla vychovanejsi než personál na baru... reakce proč proste nenechame psa na pokoji?! Tak to sme ho rovnou mohli nechat doma... nakonec jako "velké gesto" nás nechali sedět u vchodových dveří... pohledy ostatních hostu hovořily taky za vse...za mě absolutně nepochopitelné... jinak pokoje čisté, krásné wellnes a 5 hvězdiček pro paní co obsluhovala wellnes a bowling. Tato se chovala velmi profesionálně, byla ochotná, usměvavá a velmi milá, což se naopak o zaměstnancích na baru nedá ani zmínit. Do Špindlerova Mlýna jezdíme pravidelně, ale hotel Astra už bohužel znovu nezvolime.
 Dog friendly hotel, which is not actually friendly ... you pay extra for a dog and then you can't even go to a restaurant table with him ... it should be noted that our bitch was more educated than the staff at the bar ... reaction why don't we just leave the dog alone? ! So we could have left him at home right away ... in the end they let us sit at the front door as a "big gesture" ... the glances of the other guests spoke for everything too ... absolutely incomprehensible to me ... otherwise the rooms clean, beautiful wellness and 5 stars for the lady who served wellness and bowling. She behaved very professionally, she was helpful, smiling and very nice, which, on the other hand, can not even mention the staff at the bar. We go to Špindlerův Mlýn regularly, but unfortunately we will not choose the Astra hotel again.

Pros · Walking distance to town, comfortable room, large bathroom, balcony. Close to ski slopes and lifts boths for pros and amateurs. Large parking.
Cons · Short opening hours for dinner, restaurant serving till 21:30. Poor breakfast selection. Short opening hours for ski rental at the hotel - closed by the time breakfast finished. Pool and wellness facilities leave a lot to wish for, it only looks well on pictures - very dated and not guest friendly - keys for sauna had to be collected from hotel main reception which is in public area, sun beds on different floor from the wellness area, accessible only through public areas again. New year's eve celebration party included in the rate but very difficult to call it a party - some random food served some music played, if I knew it will look like this I would book different NYE party, left to the room 9pm and watched TV as it was more entertaining. No option to charge bar / restaurant purchases on the room, had to pay there and then.
