Despite its age, it’s a reasonably cozy and well-placed hotel with good-enough amenities. It does lack some managerial touch, though. In the restaurant they play the same playlist over and over (it never changed over the 3 breakfasts and dinners we ate there). If there at least was a jukebox or something... When the service gets asked about wines, they are unable to assist (except for reading out the wine names). There doesn’t have to be a great sommelier, but somebody who has at least tasted the wines and can speak to their taste. The wellness center has a sauna. However it needs two hours to warm up and they only warm it up upon reservation. Frankly, if they heated it up and opened every day 5-8pm instead of ad-hoc, it would be so much better. (This way, they likely never open it). When the cleaning lady took away all our bathrobes without returning them, we asked the receptionist for new ones. The look and feel she gave us chilled us... we got them, eventually. But still... Didn’t feel like guests at all. The 4 of us (adults) used their family room - z2 people on a double bed and two on sofa beds. One of the sofa beds was pretty much broken (falling apart). It took the cleaners and handymen over a day to give us replacement. They did, though, replace both the sofa beds with brand new ones that were great! The placement of the tables and chairs in the restaurant is horrible. In order to get to some of the seats, other people need to be standing. Not to mention that passing plates, glasses and cups from the person seated there and the staff. They seriously need to move the tables and chairs around. Last point is again about the management. They seriously need to get out there and work with the staff. They need to smile more and interact with people better.

Clean and cozy, but service could be better: in double room for two persons was only one bathrobe. Was surprised to hear that towels for wellness area you have to take from your room. Wellness facilities are tiny. Meals and service in restaurant both are great.
