Základní škola Duhovka

Diky Duhovce mame doma dva stastne skolaky. Skolu bez nadsazky miluji a chodi do ni radi. Nas jako rodice tesi, ze skola v detech nezabiji jejich prirozenou touhu ucit se. Nevychovava z nich poslusne ovce prahnouci po vnejsim oceneni, ale samostatne sebevedome bytosti s vlastnim nazorem a schopnosti kriticky myslet. Deti se uci respektu ke svemu okoli i sobe samym. Uci se videt svet v souvislostech. Nikdo do nich necpe informace pod tlakem a v presne stanoveny cas, takze se bez zbytecneho stresu nauci, co je potreba, v dobu, kdy je jim to prirozene. Verime, ze diky tomuto pristupu jim nabyte vedomosti v hlave opravdu zustanou. V Duhovce nase deti vylozene kvetou. Skola je maximalne pristupna komunikaci s rodici, k niz aktivne vytvari podminky (funkcni rodicovska asociace, pristup do vyucovani, schuzky s uciteli dle potreby, moznost konzultace s psychology v pripade problemu). Zamestnanci jsou kompetentni a mili. S uciteli mame jen ty nejlepsi zkusenosti po odborne i lidske strance. Detem se libi i v druzine a rodic nemusi mit vycitky, kdyz dite obcas zustane ve skole dele, protoze se tam proste dobre bavi... Jsme stastni, ze jsme vyber skoly nepodcenili. Duhovka nam stoji za kazdou korunu skolneho. Jsou to dobre investovane penize.

Chodily jsme do školky Duhovky ( Cihelná ), na kterou vzpomínáme díky lidem, kteří v ní pracovali. Byla úžasná, přístup k dětem fantastický a individuální přístup. Dnes už tam nepracuje nikdo z těch lidí. Následně přechod na základní školu Duhovka, který je tvrdou změnou. Nejhorší v této škole je samotné vedení. Přístup a celkový system je jiný než jaký mají ve školkách. Někteří účitelé jsou doopravdy děs a bída ( křičí, nezajímají se, nekomunikují s rodiči, velmi malá práce s dětmi ..). Dnes po všech zkušenostech bych tuto školu nezvolila. Za ty peníze jsou tu jiné možnosti, kde se budete cítit vy i dítě lépe. Pozitiva: Strava Častý pobyt venku Možnosti aktivit v družině ( kvalita není již jak dříve, jelikož hodně lidí odešlo, ale stále nabízí mnoho možností pro děti. Negativa: Přístup a řešení problémů Samotný koncept školy není sjednocený mezi zaměstnanci Musíte mít štěstí na učitele V případě, že jste česká rodina, Vaše dítě se tu nenaučí anglicky Samotný management Děti nejsou vedené, tak jako ve školce. Mnohem volnější přístup Nezvolila bych již tuto školu i z toho důvodu, že děti tu pracuji velmi samostatně. Velmi málá týmová práce, práce a porozumění s textem je tu minimální. Velmi malá individuální práce s dítětem, musí si pomoci většinou samo. Hodně konfliktů mezi dětmi, skoro každý rok se řeší šikana v nějaké třídě. Pro nas velké zklamaní a přestupujeme po několika letech jinam. Nemohu s klidným svědomim doporučit!

Vnučka chodí na tuto školu, měl jsem možnost vidět přístup učitelů a oproti našim zvykům je to hodně na úrovni. Jsem rád, že vznikají nové projekty jako je tento. Držím všechny palce, ať jim ten elán vydrží.

The best school I have ever experienxed.

First off, the management of the school is incredibly unprofessionally run, Although the concept of Montessori is wonderful and good for a children's way of learning, I have to say that the execution of the Montessori concept in this private school is very disappointing and unsatisfactory. In the spring of 2015, two sets of parents immediately transferred their children in the middle of the year to another school because they realized the management was so untrustworthy and were appallingly unable to fulfill their child's needs. Furthermore, at least three people at the school that I have transferred to informed me they quit working at Duhovka because of the blatant mismanagement and their unprofessionalism that they experienced, witnessed and were not able to withstand. There have also been many other people over the years have quit working there because of the same reasons. There is a high employment turnover rate of teachers mid semester which would means inconsistencies and irregularities in your child's education. They have not been able to keep many teachers for very long. Hardly anybody wants to stay there because the management is very unfair and many are incredibly unsure if the child's education is a priority for them or if it just about the money, appearances and reputation. Within just a couple of years, at least 5 employees have quit because they felt that the management did not care about the employees or children. This leads to a high inconsistency of teachers that are genuinely trained in Montessori as well as a severe lack of experienced teachers. Everybody, the parents, children, and staff, call the director of the school "Teflon" because of his inability to listen and to respond to anybody's requests of needs. I hope that you reconsider applying to this school or working at this school. If you are considering the school for your children or have any questions about more details about the way that this school is run, please do not hesitate to contact me through private message on facebook. Believe me, there are plenty other great international schools in Prague and in the Prague area with much better management and honesty.

Duhovka offers a lovely bi-lingual Czech English Montessori educational environment. The school focuses on the whole child with a good balance between academic and social development. The teachers and school staff are very professional, kind and helpful. Out daughter is very happy at Duivka and its more that we could have hoped to find for her in Prague.
