The castle is not very visible from the outside and there is no public access inside. Otherwise, a short walk is a beautiful walk to the sour and there it's worth it.

Perhaps the only castle in the city that is not open to the public. ?

In the first half of the 13th century the Premyslid administrative fortification ceased to exist, the remains of which survived on the steep slope over the castle. The appearance of the original Gothic castle is unknown. It was probably made up of a settlement around the castle and a castle core, in which the palace and the royal Red Tower stood. From the late Gothic reconstruction in the forecourt there is still a half-round bastion Manda standing, and two chambers were preserved inside the castle. The extensive area of today's baroque chateau was built between 1675-1682 in the place of the older castle from the time of Václav I, which originated on the original Slavic fortified settlement from the 11th century. The author of the redevelopment design was Antonio della Porta. G. O. Tencallo was the leader of rebuilding work.
