Měl zde ambice vytvořit muzeum avšak nedostalo se mu žádné podpory ze strany státu či obce, na dokonce dostal pokutu (0,5 mln Kč) od třineckého úřadu. I přesto jej majitel alespoň minimálně rekonstruoval a nyní je nabízen za vynaložené náklady tzn. cca 15 mln Kč. Obec nemá zájem. Ten nemá ani město Třinec. Asi čekají až zase začne chátrat a bude třeba do rekonstrukce vložit mnohem více peněz. Možná čekají až zcela schátrá a pak využijí tento pozemek pro prijeti úplatku od nějakého developera. They are probably waiting for it to fall into disrepair again and much more money will need to be invested in the reconstruction. Maybe they are waiting for it to fall into disrepair and then use this land to accept a bribe from a developer.

Dne 3. května 1958 byl zařazen na seznam kulturních památek. Empírová budova je obklopena parkem z poloviny 18. století, ve kterém se nacházely barokní sochy či plastika svatého Jana Nepomuckého. V současné době je zámek s celým areálem veden v seznamu ohrožených nemovitých památek a patří soukromému majiteli, který se ho již několik let snaží neúspěšně prodat.
