★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Po vzniku republiky bylo nutno regulovat řeku Labe a vznikla celá řada vodních děl navržených našimi předními architekty. Toto zdymadlo bylo dokončeno v letech 1931-1932 podle návrhu Jana Zázvorky. V roce 1948 byla přistavěna dodnes funkční vodní elektrárna. Celé dílo funguje dodnes téměř beze změn.
After the establishment of the republic, it was necessary to regulate the river Elbe and a number of water works designed by our leading architects were created. This lock was completed in the years 1931-1932 according to the design of Jan Zázvorka. In 1948, a still functioning hydroelectric power plant was added. The whole work still works almost unchanged to this day.
