Historical building by the authors Vladimír Karfík, Josef Holeček, Ladislav Ambrožek The architectural concept of the building corresponds to other Zlín buildings from the 1940s and 1950s and is a very successful example of a classicizing concept of a building with an organic concept of disposition and relationship to the natural environment. In several places, the interior has a clear influence of Hans Scharoun's nautical concept (entrance hall), an adequate function of the building. The expression of the main area of ​​the pool is weakened by the removal of the undulating ceiling. The softly shaped staircase in front of the south façade was also removed, which gave way to the construction of an outdoor pool. However, this change naturally developed the original concept. The spa was built in a sloping terrain on the site of the former Baťa brickyard, close to youth homes and primary and secondary school grounds. They are also directly connected to the sports stadium. The complex now has several swimming pools (indoor 50 m pool, 25 m outdoor) with spa equipment. A rectangular axially symmetrical disposition, the compositional core of which is a swimming pool granted on the outside by the excess of the mass of this part of the building, there are accompanying operations located around 3 sides. On the ground floor, the building was originally equipped with a bath department, steam baths and beauty services. The swimming pool measuring 12 x 25 m with six swimming lanes is located on the first floor, the longitudinal side is oriented to the south, where there is also a gallery for spectators (originally serving as a restaurant - cafe). The building has been registered on the List of Immovable Cultural Monuments since 2001.
