★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good Czech food in Mlada Boleslav. Probably on the more expensive side for MB, but the quality is good and worth the few krones more. They often have wild game on the menu too, either boar or pheasant is common and prepared well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very mediocre. Typical in the sense of being a tourist trap. The food served is unnecessarily snobbish where the attempt is to have the looks hide the substance. The exotic coffees on the menu are a joke for prices 3 times higher than a usual espresso (bad roasting and storage coming prepackaged). Plus the usual shortcoming of old-style post communist restaurants to never apologize for anything they do wrong - their response to our complaint about the whipped cream on the cake being obviously sour and dated was that they also serve it with a meat dish so how could it be bad... The logic? No, there's none. Great location though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, you just arrived for a business trip in this lovely, quiet town. You are hungry and craving for some local dishes and a cold beer. That's the place to go.
The menu is in three languages (Czech, English, German), the staff is friendly, the place is somewhat cozy and the food decent and typical.
Just don't expect a vast selection of vegetarian dishes. Also the place might close early.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location at city center but affordable prices in the same time. Menu contains typical Czech food and interesting choice of coffee (e.g. blue mountain Jamaica coffee). Personal is very nice, helpful and polite.
