Memorable place of the biggest and bloodiest battle in our country. There is a beautiful view of the region from the local lookout tower. A walk through the local nature is beautiful.

Hned vedle muzea stojí rozhledna, která má však odlišnou otvírací dobu než muzeum, tak se nám na ní nepodařilo dostat. Kolem muzea se nachází ještě několik menších památníků, které jsou dostupné pěšky. The War Museum is small but interesting. The exhibition includes a short film in the cinema. There is a lookout tower right next to the museum, which, however, has a different opening time than the museum, so we did not manage to get there. There are several smaller monuments around the museum that are accessible on foot.

Nové moderní muzeum důstojně přibližuje důsledky jedné z ambicí o sjednocování všeho, co je alespoň trochu německé... Hezká procházka po okolních hrobech a pomnících, nádherný výhled z rozhledny. V restauraci U polních myslivců mají něco k snědku a pití. A very interesting memorial to the battle, in which 215,000 Prussians and 221,000 Austrian soldiers clashed on both sides, accompanied by a terrible cannonade. The new modern museum dignifiedly brings closer the consequences of one of the ambitions to unify everything that is at least a little German ... Nice walk through the surrounding graves and monuments, beautiful views from the lookout tower. They have something to eat and drink at the U polních myslivců restaurant.

Saturday trip, a bit windy and the sun was shining. The beginning of the tourist season. We were here for the first time and we really enjoyed the sights and walks around.
