Lyžaři ocení síť tratí Jizerské magistrály. Dramatická krajina severních svahů s více než šestisetmetrovým převýšením nad údolím řeky Smědé je pokryta rozsáhlými bukovými lesy.
 The mountains, divided by the border between the Czechia and Poland, belong to the places with the highest rainfall in our country. It is the main European watershed between the North and Baltic Seas. It is an important area for summer and winter recreation. Popular excursion destinations include the Jizerka settlement below the highest basalt heap of Central Europe, Bukovec, the Frýdlant battlements rock amphitheater, the Velký Štolpich waterfalls and the Na Čihadle and Jizerky peat bogs. Skiers will appreciate the network of tracks of the Jizera Highway. The dramatic landscape of the northern slopes with an elevation gain of more than 600 meters above the valley of the Smědá River is covered with extensive beech forests.
