I am super happy with my consultation with Roald. The Alexio website has been a great help for many years, so I booked an hour long consultation to answer all of my questions. Not only did he come super prepared into our meeting (he went through all of my pre-submitted questions and had looked up my trade licence etc already), he also gave lots of additional tips and I learned so much in just 60 minutes! If you have questions about setting up as a freelancer, invoicing or about submitting tax returns etc, I would highly recommend them.

Found Alexio.cz online after researching and by the great information found on the website I decided to book a consultation as I am looking for information on what the best setup and solution would be for me when moving my business to Czech Republic. The consultation was spot on, I had it with Roald who answered all my questions and I found him to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and transparent which is just what I am looking for in an accountant. Something that originally felt overwhelming became much more light and Im very much looking forward to moving everything to CZ now! Thank you so much! Highly reccomend!

I moved to the Czech Republic in 2020 and Alexio was very helpful to understand all I needed to do to set myself up as a sole trader (OSVČ) here. I have since used them for consultations a few times and I have always been satisfied with the information and advice received in terms of Income/Health/Social Insurance Taxes, invoicing, ESL, VAT returns and so on. I also did my tax return through them last year, the process was simple, fast and hassle free, and I could not be happier with the result. You know what they say, a good accountant pays for itself. This couldn't be more true with Roald and his team.

I have been using the services of Alexio on and off since 2010. I recently returned and had a consultation with Roald where the recent changes to the taxation rules have changed considerably. Roald was able to explain the impact of this in a very detailed manner ensuring I fully understood everything. I would highly recommend using Alexio's services. I have found them to be very professional and good value for money. It is a complex system in CZ for everything tax related, VAT related etc.. Alexio really take the pain out of it and make it relatively easy for you.

I wasn't really sure what to expect at first, this is all very new to me, however as soon as we signed into the Zoom consultation Roald at Alexio made me feel extremely comfortable. He had reviewed my very vague summary of my situation and already had useful information to start the meeting with. I had prepared a long list of questions to fill the time with and he easily answered every one in great detail. I definitely got my money's worth and have already booked the additional services we discussed through Alexio. All in all, good experience, I learned a lot and Roald is a nice, helpful guy.

A consultation with Alexio is money well spent. Period. As a newbie to the Czech tax system Roald laid it out and got me up to speed in 1 hour. He clearly knows his stuff and can communicates very well. I will be using his services again and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs basic tax advice or to those who have far more complex problems to solve. I can attest that you will save money by listening to his advice.

I was looking to have a trade license set up and everything went very well. The people here are friendly, knowledgeable and they do their best to help you understand what the best course of action is in your case. I have had two consultations so far, one that I initially paid for, and one that was included in the trade license package. Both of the consultations were very enlightening, with Roald responding to all the questions and clarifications I requested. Everything went smooth and without any issues for me. If you're a foreigner in need of setting up a business, or to sort out accounting or VAT, I wholeheartedly recommend Alexio. The price they charge is very fair compared to the work they do, and I am really glad I had them recommended to me. Lastly, another thing I want to mention that was a huge positive for me is their transparent price scheme, and the benefits included in their packages. My current landlord did not wish to allow me to register my current apartment as a place of business, so I had to get a virtual office. Alexio had that covered for me, making it very easy and convenient to have my trade license set up wholly through them, and through their site.

A very poor experience using Alexio's services. Like others, I had a positive initial consultation with Roald which led to me ordering additional services based on the advice that he gave. The services I ordered were handled by another team member who was unresponsive, had poor communication skills, ignored basic questions I asked and then ultimately gave contradicting advice to what Roald gave in the initial consultation. This was not something that I expected when ordering services from a company that brands itself as expat accounting and charges a premium for its services. When I called Roald about this, he was extremely defensive, failed to take any responsibly as the owner of the company and claimed that there was no way he could know what was going on as he doesn't deal with tax. This was despite my initial consultation being based purely on questions surrounding tax. On further investigation and something I didn’t pay attention to when I engaged Roald initially, is that he sells his consultations as a "business consultant" not as a tax advisor so I would be wary of any tax advice surrounding complex taxation issues that he gives. Roald promised to investigate, though I never heard back from him after my initial call despite multiple follow ups. They also promised a refund, which they didn’t give until I lodged a dispute with PayPal. Having spoken to other qualified tax advisors since, it has come to light that the both the initial guidance given by Roald and the advice later given via e-mail by his team was not correct. If you are dealing with complicated tax issues, I would avoid this company and find a qualified tax advisor. Similarly, if you want to deal with a company that will treat you with professionalism, look elsewhere.
