A great little shop in the Jewish quarter with fair prices and great service. In addition, the owner runs a small exchange office, where you can exchange for a good rate (currently 24.50 crowns for 1 euro) free of commission, i.e. without the frequent rip-off in the old town of Prague. All around recommendable!

I received a gold ring with a diamond purchased in this old age shop, the purchase of which told the person in question that the subsequent modifications of the ring (reduction) are included in the price. When I had the ring reduced, the cut piece of gold was not returned to me, with the proviso that their goldsmith probably sharpened it and only sawdust remained. When asked repeatedly, I was told that goldsmiths have to pay for something when the customer has a "free" reduction service. I understand that the piece was not big, but when the ring was reduced in other shops, the pieces of gold were always returned to me. I do not find this action fair, especially if they do not even point it out in advance and do not let the customer choose whether he wants it under these conditions at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I got a gold ring with a diamond from this Antik as a gift, the seller said the ring could later be resized (for smaller) to fit the finger, and that the price of the ring includes this subsequent service. When I took the ring for resizing, they didn't give me the piece that had been cut from the ring back saying that nothing was really left from it, except for some gold sawdust. When I asked again I was told that their jeweler needs to be paid somehow, as this service is "free" for the customers. It's customary to give back pieces of gold after resizing (and I have always received them in other stores, no extra charges included of course). It is a deceitful and misleading practice not to warn the customer he will not be getting the gold piece after the resizing, and to therefore deprive him of the ability to choose whether or not he wants this service under these conditions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE.

So I always picked over the internet because I'm not from Prague. I always communicated through the email with Mr. Kysela. A very helpful, patient person, I bought 4 rings with diamonds and gems from him, I am very satisfied, nicer products for such a good price, compared to the others, I have never seen.
