★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LOVELY. Everything is just lovely. The apartments are each decorated following an individual theme and so beautiful. Lots of charming details, great sanitary equipment, very comfortable beds and furniture. Breakfast served to the apartment, convenient and delicious!

The appartements have really well chosen furniture, every appartement with a different theme. The rooms are big, very clean and the beds couldn't be more comfortable.
The personnel is very friendly and tries to help you wherever possible.
If there by bike those will be locked in a passageway to which only guests have access.
The breakfast buffet is small, but only in variation, not in terms of offered food.
The pension is directly inside the old Town of Mělník, just next to the castle.
I can only recommend to stay there when visiting this beautiful small town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never go there. The owner and receptionist is an aggressive man and he verbally attacked me over asking about the rooms and the options they have. If you go via booking the try to give you the lamest storage room converted to state-of-the-art almost room.. worst experience so far of 3 continents I traveled

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic reason why you should sometimes let others book your travel. We’re on a bike trip from Prague to Dresden and the outfitter sent us here. We expected to be satisfied with the hotels they booked, but are delighted here. I don’t use that word lightly, but this is charming little hotel with funky, romantic decor that the wives (we’re with another couple) love. They gave us a to bedroom suite with comfortable bedrooms and a spacious common area. And, not to sweat the small stuff, but I can’t recall having a hotel shower where I back off on both pressure and temperature.
If you’re in the area, this is a great place to stop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Penzion U Zámku is one of the hotels that we use for our clients on bike tours from Prague to Dresden. It is housed in a lovely building, just a few steps from the castle, church and the viewpoint towards the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava rivers; and just a few more from the town centre.
The pretty rooms are spacious and comfortable. They are all decorated individually and equipped with flat-screen TVs, a minibar, a kettle and individually controlled radiators. The bathrooms are fitted with very good showers.
The guest house serves a good breakfast and the owners/staff are very friendly and helpful.
The secure and covered bike parking is easily accessible from the street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dead center of the historical area of Melnik. Nice room (Historicky) was wine-cellar cool in the heat of the day. Approach by car is not an insurmountable problem, but not straightforward. One of the few times that Google Maps failed me.
