Malý parčík s lavičkami pro odpočinek uprostřed města. Paráda
Small park with benches for relaxation in the middle of the city. Great

Nice place managed by nice people. It is surprising how powerful it looks from the outside without and is actually smaller surrounding buildings.

One of the many amazing towers of Prague.

The tower of the Church of St. Peter on Porzici was built as an independent belfry. This was due to the fact that the towers of the temple itself could not withstand large bells. In this regard, back in the 15th century, it was planned to build a separate belfry tower at the Church of St. Peter. However, the plan was realized only in 1598. Initially, two bells were placed in the belfry, named after Saints Peter and Paul. The bell of St. Paul, weighing 1600 kg, was cast in 1724. At one time, it cracked and required repair. It was covered with earth and heated until the bursting place again melted into a single whole. However, the oldest and largest bell is St. Peter. It was created in 1691. But, and this bell was re-cast 10 years after its birth. The work was carried out by Mikulas Lev. On the surface of the bell there is a relief image of St. Peter, the sign of the New Place, the names of all members of the magistrate of that time and a request addressed to God and Peter in Latin and German for protection from fires, lightning and the use of a bell, which should ring for the reverence of God and the prosperity of this settlement.

Less than 40 meters high late Gothic belfry of sandstone blocks was added to St. Peter's Cemetery - today's Petrské Square area - in 1598. On the tower facade there is a stone plate with a Latin inscription, which informs about the date of construction and the private financing of the local burghers. The bell tower is entered through a door from the south side, the staircase leads to the 2nd floor, where three bells are hung with rich decoration with reliefs of saints, city signs and some passages of prayers. The largest is named Peter and was cast in 1691. The second bell Paul dates from 1724 and the smaller bell is a death knell. The weight of both larger bells exceeds 1,500 kilograms.

Zvonice ( brána ) spolu s kostelem sv. Petra, byly naštěstí záchranou regotizací upraveny do dnešní podoby již v r. 1874 a to arch. Mockerem.
The bell tower (gate) together with the church of St. Fortunately, they were, thanks to the rescue of regotization, modified to their current form as early as 1874 by architect Mocker. And so, unfortunately, a charming corner was created, which is now crowded with parked cars and commercial activity. I still remember a time when there was God's peace. But that must not deter you from visiting, there is 900 years of history.
