Clear, you can wait warm and buy snacks. There is a very nicely painted underpass. This is the only way to the next platforms. There are also elevators if you don't want to step up and down about 20 steps. I missed the toilet, but maybe it's just hidden somewhere ...

Nice and fairly well equipped railway station was reconstructed between 2007-2011. It is equipped with a mobile lifting platform for loading and unloading passengers in and out of the truck. Access to the station building is wheelchair accessible, including a designated ticket counter, and all platforms are wheelchair accessible as well. In addition, the station is equipped for the visually impaired (guiding lines). The station is located on lines 220 (Benešov u Prahy - České Budějovice) and 222 (Benešov u Prahy – Trhový Štěpánov – Dolní Kralovice). It was put into operation in December 1871. In 1895 the regular railway transport was connected between Benešov and Vlašim. In the years 1896-1897 a second building in the same architectural style was attached to its north side. Both buildings are connected by the Imperial Lounge - a luxurious waiting room for personal use of the Austro-Hungarian successor to the throne of Franz Ferdinand d'Este. The station underwent its first extensive reconstruction in the 1970s, when it was electrified. In 1997 the station building was declared a National Cultural Monument.

Unfortunately, I visit this station on a regular basis and unfortunately I also meet regularly non-functional elevators ... which always annoy me a lot ... because always, I have luggage with me, which one really doesn't want to pull up the stairs ... I can't imagine how it must be, unpleasant for mothers with a pram, or a man about sticks. ..etc. not to mention a man in a wheelchair ... he probably doesn't get a chance to get anywhere by train from such a situation in Benešov. If the elevators work, they are always dirty and smell ... which doesn't add much to the first positive impression. the station is undergoing some modifications, so the elevators are not working and the stairs are narrowed by scaffolding. The work takes place right next to you, when you climb, up the stairs to the platform. You do not know if you have to pull one would assume that such adjustments will take place either not at such busy times, or, at least the elevator will work ... Anyway, before the holidays it will be very uncomfortable for a lot of passengers experience ... people will meet in a confined space, on the stairs while walking in both directions, each with their own luggage, or. stroller. Otherwise, the staff at the box office should also work on their professional level ... because it is also a long way to a pleasant deal ... I think it is possible to work on everything, so hopefully everything will be as it should be soon.

Horrible experience!!! They do not speak english and they took advantatge that I was not czech to rip me off. I paid 200 kr for a 72 kr ticket and they gave me only 28 kr back. When I claimed for my money the woman started to scream to me in czech and then she ignored me. It is a pity that some people in this country treat tourist like this. Never come back here.

I’m Czech myself and had a horrible experience twice in a row. I was shocked how simple questions made the employee at the desk so emotional and extremely rude. She started giving me lessons how I should know everything and read the info online. Closed the little window at me several times and screamed. If you are a foreigner do yourself a favor and download IDOS app (for train and bus) or LITACKA app (for all Prague and connected outer zones network) and buy the ticket online. I hope these people will be replaced by machines soon so I don’t have to feel ashamed of them.

It’s the Benesov train hub, the S9 will take you to the main station HL Praha. You are in the Czech not Prague, don’t expect any English support at all from the staff. Have fun
