★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Ostrava's best cafes, and one of the few that opens early in the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone is happy to speak English, and English menus are available. The Black Tree is a community-focused, dog friendly local business, with a great, positive feel to it. Good wi-fi and a calm atmosphere also make this a great place to work, read, or just people-watch for a quiet hour or two.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really tasty latte with soya coconut milk! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the non-dairy milk goes with the coffee. Definitely recommend trying this. The plum poppy seed tart wasn't my type of dessert though.
Overall, good cafe ambience, great for work/study, friendly staff, free speedy WiFi.
