★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crowded and run down like an old-school spit-and-sawdust gym, but with none of the charm. These guys have given up.
E.g.
Stinks - no air conditioning, just some barely-working office fans. People allowed to work out barefoot, which doesn't help.
Basic equipment lacking - both exercise bikes faulty/missing parts, just one squat rack, no velcro left on pads for barbells.
Unsupervised Roma children allowed to (mis)use the gym.
Can see fairly plainly into the 'female-only' section from the main gym (separated by vertical office blinds, flapping in the breeze of the adjacent windows), and often saw guys wandering in there if their gf was among those working out.
