Polopřirozený lesní ekosystém s převahou buku ve stáří 80-120 let s pestrými rostlinnými a živočišnými společenstvy. Jeho poloha na příkrých členitých svazích v údolí Jizery má velký význam pro ekologickou stabilitu širšího okolí. PR Bučiny u Rakous consists of steep and rugged slopes in the Jizera Valley with numerous geomorphological phenomena in salinized sandstones. A semi-natural forest ecosystem with a predominance of beech aged 80-120 years with diverse plant and animal communities. Its location on the steep rugged slopes in the Jizera Valley is of great importance for the ecological stability of the wider area.
P	Petr Pavelka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pěší cesta kolem Jizery byla příjemná byť poslední část do Rakous jsme museli po silnici. Ta však nebyla nijak frekventovaná. Po překonání viaduktu ale druhá strana cesty zpět se změnila na mix cyklistů a bruslařů a tedy neustále uskakování do kopřiv u cesty. Jako cyklista bych dal plný počet hvězd, jako pěší ale ubírám. Po cestě do Rakous je proti toku řeky pouze jediná hospoda a to Zrcadlová koza, na cestě zpět po proudu je to o něco málo lepší ale i tak se občerstvíte až u Dlaskova statku. Walking around Jizera was nice to be the last part to Austria we had to follow the road. However, it was not frequent. After crossing the viaduct, however, the other side of the road changed to a mix of cyclists and skaters, thus constantly jumping into the nettles by the road. As a cyclist I would give a full number of stars, but as a pedestrian I go away. On the way to Austria, there is only one pub opposite the river, namely the Mirror Goat, on the way back downstream it is a little better but even so you can refresh yourself at Dlask's farm.

S	Surovec MH on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Místo pro krásnou procházku, projížďku na kole, nebo na lodi. Kdo nemá rád davy lidí v letní sezóně, je tam krásně na jaře i na podzim. Ovšem v té době nefungují všechny občerstvovací zastávky, kterých je cestou hned několik a bývají obleženy turisty.Cesta je převážně rovná, takový ten asfalt mezi vesnicemi. Takže i s kočárky není problém cestu absolvovat. A place for a beautiful walk, bike ride or boat ride. If you don't like crowds of people in the summer season, it's beautiful in spring and autumn. However, at that time not all refreshment stops work, of which there are several on the way and they are besieged by tourists. The road is mostly flat, such as the asphalt between the villages. So even with prams it is not a problem to complete the journey.
