★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruins of the Castle of Vikštejn are accessible free of charge. Object is slightly adapted to make the tourism more comfortable. A small parking place is about 500 meters far away from the ruins and gives great oportunity to make a relaxing walk through the forrest.
In the area of Castle are several fireplaces where is possible to roast sausage. Adventurers can stay over night just in sleeping bags but I think only in hot Summer nights.
Ruins date back to 14th Century. With consideration of this it is admirable that the vaults rested through times without any help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ruins of castle with number of interesting places to explore, including the basements and various walls and buildings. There is nice renovated lookout tower with beautiful views of the valley of Moravice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful. The catacombs underneath were misterious. Loved listening to the sound of leaves falling from the tree in the middle of the castle, very calming. The tree swing is also a nice touch. A quiet place to contemplate.
