★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Městská spořitelna byla v Chlumci nad Cidlinou založena 1898. Původně sídlila na radnici, až v roce 1928 se přestěhovala do nové budovy. Autorem stavebního projektu byl královéhradecký architekt Oldřich Liska. Období po roce 1948 znamenalo konec městských spořitelen v Československu. I ta chlumecká byla zestátněna a přeměněna na Českou státní spořitelnu. Na její činnost navázala po roce 1989 místní pobočka České spořitelny.
The City Savings Bank in Chlumec nad Cidlinou was established in 1898. It was originally housed in the Town Hall, but in 1928 it moved to a new object. The architect of the building project was the architect Oldřich Liska from Hradec Králové. The period after 1948 meant the end of the city savings banks in Czechoslovakia. Even Chlumecká was nationalized and transformed into Česká státní spořitelna. After 1989, the local branch of Česká spořitelna continued its activities.
