The chapel stands near the building of the former Litoměřice - city station and as a Gothic building of St. St. John in Dubina is already mentioned in 1384. It was replaced in 1677 by the current chapel.

Na tomto místě pak byla následujícího roku vystavěna zřejmě Giulio Broggiem dnešní kaple sv. Jana Křtitele, což dokládá nápis na vstupním portálu. Opravována pak byla v letech 1910 a 1955. Nad portálem najdeme znak tehdejšího litoměřického biskupa Jaroslava Františka ze Šternberka.
As a Gothic church it is commemorated already in 1384. The councillor protocol presents the request of Bishop Jaroslav František of Šternberk from 1676 for a desolate place after the Church of St. Jana in Dubina. At this point, following year today's Chapel of St. John the Baptist was probably built by Giulio Broggio, as evidenced by the inscription on the entrance portal. It was repaired in 1910 and 1955. Above the portal we find the emblem of then Litoměřice bishop Jaroslav František of Šternberk.
