Chateau 9 - Řetězová 9

Chateau 9 ist eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft, die im Gedächtnis bleibt. Wir hatten hier als Paar eine DG Wohnung gebucht. Und sie übertraf unsere Erwartungen bei Weitem. So eine ästhetische und wunderschöne sowie große Unterkunft hatten wir selten. Die Bilder des Betreibers entsprechen hier wirklich der Realität. Unsere Wohnung war geräumig und super ausgestattet. Einzig eine Kaffeemaschine fehlte. Die hatten aber unsere Freunde in der noch größeren DG Wohnung mit Dachterrasse nebenan! Auch die Lage hier ist perfekt. Sehr zentral und dennoch in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, so dass man trotz Feierwut aller Tourist*innen gut schlafen konnte.

The room is loverly the location brilliant and the staff really friendly, the only thing making it 4 not 5 star is the fact that the main office was hard to find ,and when you do find it there is no main reception desk but a side room with three desks in and staff but no hotel name sign ,so they could do with uploading more pictures and info on the main reception building and also some more signage in the main building

I want to give 4 stars because the price was cheap for our stay (53€/night incl. taxes) and the location (very near to the clock tower). The check-in is not at this address but you need to go all the way to the end of the street where you see an arch (search for "3 Epoques" on Google Maps). We stayed just 2 nights. Our room (#14) was quite good and clean. Actually when we checked in, they just finished cleaning it. You have a bedroom which comes with a kitchenette (they provide cutlery, cups, glasses, plates if ever you feel you want to eat in your room) and there was also a kettler and some complimentary instant coffee. In the toilet there was shampoo, body gel and towels but no toothbrush or toothpaste so remember to bring your own or you can buy in some nearby supermarket/grocery. There's a smart TV so you can watch your own streaming services (YouTube, netflix, prime video, etc.). The WiFi was quite good too (and free). As you have read in the other reviews, there was no cleaning service during our 2-day stay. I guess you can't pretend much for the price you pay of course... It didn't bother me and I didn't even ask but I guess if you stay 1 week it could be a problem. Maybe I should have gone at the check-in desk and ask about it. Not sure if they provide a room cleaning service during your stay. But all in all I really suggest this place considering the low price and the location... Just a few minutes from the astronomy clock tower. I will stay here again if ever I come back to Prague

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. Yes it’s in a good location but our room was tiny, had no trash can, the shower head was broken, bathroom door was super hard to close and lock, smelled like someone had smoked in it and the front desk never responded to our emails. They also never cleaned our room or changed the towels in 4 days. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

PROS- Fantastic location and very prague-esque. CONS- we were stuck in the first apartment through the front door so we didn’t have any windows so absolutely no light coming in- couldn’t tell if it was night or day! Quite musty. I’d definitely recommend asking for a room higher up. The bin hadn’t been emptied and when we were given the keys at the receptionist hotel, the man behind the counter wasn’t helpful at all on telling us how to get to the flat! 3 stars for location and Prague “underground” theme.

We liked our stay. Clean room (number 15), nice reception. Centrally located. I can recommend this hotel for a stay in Prague!
