★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein toller Ort zum wwofen! Auf dem etwas verschlafenen Hof findet jede*r - auch ohne besondere Kenntnisse - etwas zum helfen und abarbeiten. Außer den total lieben und offenen Gastgebern und den Tieren (vor Allem die Ziegen lassen sich gern streicheln:D) auf dem Hof, waren die Begegnungen mit den anderen Reisenden gemeinschaftlich schön :))
Das Schloss liegt am Ende eines kleinen Ortteils, somit ist es zu einem kleinen Einkaufszentrum (Supermarkt, Drogerie,...) nicht weit, aber grenzt auch an einem schönen Waldstück und direkt an der ruhigen Elbe.
Neben den Unterkünften für die helfenden Hände ist auch bald mindestens eine Ferienwohnung auf dem Hof zum Mieten bereit!

 A great place to wwofen! On the somewhat sleepy courtyard everyone - even without special knowledge - will find something to help and work off. Except for the very kind and open hosts and the animals (especially the goats like to be petted: D) on the farm, the encounters with the other travelers were nice together :))
The castle is at the end of a small district, so it is not far to a small shopping center (supermarket, drugstore, ...), but also borders on a beautiful forest and directly on the quiet Elbe.
In addition to the accommodation for the helping hands, at least one holiday apartment on the farm will soon be ready for rent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zakladatelské místo slavného českého šlechtického rodu. Za soc. bylo dočasně ve správě VŠZ v Praze a to jej zachránilo. Dnes je snad zpět Lobkoviců ? Nepřístupné, ale romantické místo.
Founding place of the famous Czech noble family. Za soc. was temporarily administered by VŠZ in Prague and it saved him. Is the Lobkowicz back today? Inaccessible but romantic place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zatím skoro neobyvatelný, pár místností přístupných. Nádvoří super na jarmarky a řemeslné trhy. Každoroční masopust je super.
So far almost uninhabitable, a few rooms accessible. Courtyard super at fairs and craft markets. The annual carnival is great.

Die Spuren der Zeit im Kommunismus sind noch deutlich erkennbar. Die neuen Schlossfrauen und -herren starten gerade damit, dort ein kleines Paradies zu erschaffen.
Direkt an der Elbe und einem wunderschönen Wald gelegen, läd das Schloss zum Verweilen in der Natur ein.
Demnächst werden bestimmt noch ganz viele Helfer gesucht, die sich kreativ einbringen und mit anpacken können.

The traces of the time in communism are still clearly visible. The new castle ladies and gentlemen are just starting to create a little paradise there.
Located directly on the Elbe and a beautiful forest, the castle invites you to linger in nature.
In the near future, we are sure to be looking for a lot more helpers who can contribute creatively and help out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool place with rustic flair. The owners were very nice and good company.
We stayed for a week and helped with the renovation in return for free accomodation, which is a fair deal. Prices for food etc. are very low and there's a supermarket nearby (as well as restaurants and a bar just around the corner).

And it’s so satisfying to see this place grow slowly with all the love the owners and the wonderful volunteers put into it! A true feeling of community. Especially the castle and the animals are worth a visit. It was so fun to help out! :D
